Email Backup over IMAP

The email backup functionality of Handy Backup will soon be improved with a new feature, which is currently under development. The new feature will allow Handy Backup users to back up their mail directly from the mail server using the IMAP protocol.

Unlike POP3, IMAP allows not only backing up mail messages from the server but restoring them back to the server as well.

Besides, with the IMAP backup feature users will be able to select folders to back up, such as incoming mail, outgoing mail and so on. The backup messages will have eml format, so users will be able to open them with any email client that is installed on their PC.

Mail backup is very important. The loss of your business letters and personal letters alike can bring more problems than you can imagine, so make sure you use efficient and reliable backup software such as Handy Backup to back up your mail and never worry about its safety.
