FTPS backup
In an attempt to further expand backup functionality of our application, Handy Backup, we are currently working on developing a new backup feature such as FTPS backup.
FTPS is a secure protocol which is used to transfer data to a remote location using encryption. FTPS uses TLS/SSL below the standard FTP protocol to encrypt transferred data. Either control or data channel is encrypted, but most often both. To establish the FTPS connection, the FTP server and FTP client are necessary.
The backup procedure will be similar to FTP backup except that the data will be encrypted during the transfer.
Because the FTPS backup feature is not one of the most popular or demanded, we would like to encourage Handy Backup users to provide feedback on this and tell us if they think it is useful, or, on the contrary, completely unwanted.
If you became interested in this feature and you would like to use it, you can hasten its release - vote for it below.
