Backup to Server
Among all available media that you can store data backups to, dedicated servers provide the highest level of reliability and convenience. By transferring backup to a server located in a distant place, you ensure its safety and integrity, regardless of any disasters that may happen locally at your site.

Handy Backup supports all main protocols that can be used to back up data to remote servers:
- Backup to Network via common SMB protocol
- Backup to FTP servers
- Backup to SFTP servers
- Backup to FTPS servers
Centralized Backup to Server
The case where you need to organize automatic backup of multiple computers to one central server should be considered separately. The most reasonable solution here is to use a client-server architecture, where all backup jobs are set up and initiated by one PC and others act as "clients" providing it with their data. This approach is especially powerful for complete enterprise backup: it enables to assign a single person responsible for backups and therefore eliminate the need to teach employees to back up their data.

Backup to Server via FTP, SFTP or FTPS
Handy Backup provides a built-in engine that can work with remote servers via FTP, SFTP or FTPS protocols. It has the following functions:
- Convenient and comprehensible interface. Creation of a remote backup task is made in just a couple of clicks. All you need to do is to select FTP/SFTP as a destination in the menu, specify server login and password and select a folder to store data to.
- Works with proxy. The program can place your backup to a server located behind a proxy server. Passwords are never transferred as plain text which ensures high level of security.
- Optimization of time and costs. Handy Backup provides a number of features designed to optimize online time and bandwidth used during backing up to offsite servers. Instead of copying the entire backup set each time the task is executed, you can use incremental backup which backs up only changes. Also, you can enable data compression which will reduce overall size of backup before transferring it to the server.
- Synchronization with FTP server. Handy Backup’s FTP/SFTP/FTPS engine can work not only within backup task, but can also be used in PC and server synchronization tasks.
Other capabilities include backup scheduling, verification, and much more. See all features of our software...
