FTP server

The term FTP server can mean one of two things:

Computer responsible for serving any kind of files, via the File Transfer Protocol to FTP clients which can also be web browsers
Software program that implements the FTP protocol and is working as a daemon serving any kind of files

Connections to FTP servers are made using FTP clients or certain web browsers that function as FTP clients.
