Backup rotation schedules
Backup rotation schedules are schedules, which define how often a backup is performed, how the data is backed up, which media is used and the amount of the media. To be more exact, the backup rotation schedules define the periodicity of backups, the type of the backup (full or incremental), the media type (tape, CD, DVD, FTP, etc) and the amount of the media, required to complete a rotation. Backup rotation schedules are chosen according to the user's/company's needs for data security and possibilities. The most popular backup rotation schedules are Grandfather-father-son and the Tower of Hanoi.
