DVD-R Backup
The term DVD-R backup can be used either to describe a process of saving backups to a DVD-R disc, or to refer to a backup stored on DVD-R disc. Today, DVD-Rs are among the most popular storage media for backups, because they can store relatively large amounts of data, and have a perfect price-to-value ratio.
Another advantage of modern DVD-R discs is their ability to be updated multiple times, before you run out of space. Unlike DVD-RW discs, they are not rewritable, but for most home backup needs this is not very important, if the backup program supports multi-session recording.
Our software, Handy Backup works perfectly with optical backup storage media of any kind: it can easily record backup to CD, copy backup to DVD (including -R, +R, -RW and other modifications), and also supports local and network backup.
