Exchange Server Settings Backup
The term Exchange Server settings is usually used to refer to a set of configuration settings of Microsoft Exchange Server, which include rules of data management, information about security groups, anti-spam settings, transport settings, etc.
MS Exchange Server supports importing and exporting of its settings through the use of XML files. Exported files represent Exchange Server settings backup and can be used to configure a new Microsoft Exchange server from zero. However, manual exporting of settings can't be used for complete cloning of the server. It is absolutely different from what is called server's "backup", as server settings are just a minor part of data that need to be saved. To back up MS Exchange Server mails, contacts and other data, it is necessary to use special MS Exchange backup software instead.
