LAN
LAN, or a Local Area Network, is a network that connects multiple computers in a relatively small area. Networked computers can easily transfer files between each other, which makes local area network quite useful.
The use of LAN allows all connected computers to receive instant access to Internet, if any one of them is connected to the Web. Together with easy data sharing and distribution, these two aspects make up the main reason why LANs are so widely used.
