Round robin schedule
A round robin schedule is a schedule, including a rotation of all the objects in the schedule, making sure that every object is engaged in the process, for which the round robin schedule is used. In sport tournaments, the round robin schedule is used when it is required for each team to play with each other. In the backup sphere this scheme is applied to the backup media, when the media with the oldest version is used to store the most recent backup. Technically, a process of writing the backup to the media with the oldest data using any amount of media (from 1 to infinity) can be defined as one using a round robin backup schedule.
