System backup
A system backup is a backup of all system files, which allows restoring the operating system to a working state after a crash. Usually only special programs, targeted on backing up system files, can perform a system backup. Sometimes this term can be interpreted as system registry backup, i.e. backup of the of the system and application settings stored in the registry.
