WebDAV
WebDAV stands for Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning. Based on the HTTP protocol, the purpose of the WebDAV protocol is to allow modifying files online by numerous authors and keeping versions of the files. Also, the WebDAV protocol allows transfering files, just like via the HTTP protocol. Windows uses this protocol to create Web Folders, which allow a user to work with the website files just like with local files using the Explorer.
