The CD-RW option is grayed out in the Wizard.
If the CD-RW option is grayed out, please download the Adaptec ASPI driver here.
If you use Windows 98, NT 4.0, Me or 2000:
Run ASPIINST.EXE file to install the ASPI layer
When the installation has finished, reboot the system in order to enable the ASPI driver.
If you use Windows XP or 2003:
Select Start then Run from the start menu, and then the Browse button.
Locate the INSTALL.BAT file in the directory where the files were extracted to, then select the OPEN button and add XP32 to the command line in the dialog box. It should look like this:
"c:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat XP32"
If you use Itanium processors, you should enter XP64 instead of XP32.
The command will therefore read as follows: c:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat XP64. Then select the OK button to run the XP installer. When the installation is finished, reboot the system to enable the ASPI driver.
