Registering Handy Backup in Linux

Registration of Handy Backup in Linux is performed in a usual way, except for the case when you are behind a proxy server. To configure proxy settings for Wine:

1. Launch the Wine registry editor:

wine regedit

2. Find or create the key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]


3. Edit the following values:

"ProxyEnable"=dword:00000001
"AutoConfigProxy"="wininet.dll"
"ProxyServer"="http=proxy:XXXX"

where proxy must be changed to your proxy server address and XXXX to the proxy port.

4. Run Handy Backup. This is done in two steps:

Type in the command:

wine hbagent.exe

Open another instance of terminal and type in the command:

wine backup.exe

5. Register the program through the Help menu. For details, refer to Registration in the User Manual.
