Handy Backup 5.3 Allows Easier Syncing and Backing up to FTP
Mar 17, 2006
The new 5.3 version of our backup and disaster recovery software features a new Rebind function. It allows performing incremental backup of any files that you already have at FTP locations, but that you've never created any tasks for. This lets you greatly reduce Internet-traffic, time and costs, as you don’t have to perform full backup again.

The new feature will be of great use for those users who already have their information kept in a data center, and want to continue backing up to it. To take advantage of it, create a backup task, select the FTP folder containing your data as a destination for backup, and then click Rebind in Handy Backup Agent's menu. Handy Backup will compare local data with data stored on a remote backup server, and then copy only new and changed files, i.e. perform incremental backup.
This way you won't need to transport huge amounts of information over the Internet, or send megabytes of data by e-mail. You can simply copy files to CD/DVD disks, send it to a data center, and when it appears on an FTP server, click Rebind in Handy Backup 5.3.
Handy Backup is available in several editions. You can order Handy Backup Home Standard below:
