The smallest up to date home video game console, Wii is peculiar for a wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which detects movement in 3D and can be used as a handheld pointing device. Another curious peculiarity is the WiiConnect24 network which enables a user to remain connected to the Internet while the console is on standby.
The Wii console contains 512 Mb of internal flash memory and features an SD card slot for external storage. Wii accepts Wii Optical Discs and Nintendo GameCube Game Discs.
The Wii Backup plug-in for Handy Backup will make it possible to create playable game backups, automatically detect and copy system, settings, and restore data with no modchips required.
