The second video game console by Microsoft, Xbox360 is one of the 'Holy Trinity' of the most popular game consoles these days. The games for the console are available on DVD disks and, with other motley content (trailers, TV shows, music and movies, etc.) via Xbox Live online service.
Since the optical game carriers are scratchable, dropable, and other-way-damageable and removable hard drives happen to experience occasional failures too, backup of data from Xbox stably remains highly desirable among gamers. The console is designed the way that plain copying of data does not result in opportunity to play it. Backup software is to be specially designed in order to take the architecture into account and thus produce playable game backups.
The Xbox360 Backup plug-in will bring means of creating playable backups of games and other console data, automatically detecting and copying all system settings (including Xbox Live settings), and restoring the whole pile to a hard drive.
