SSH file transfer protocol
SSH File Transfer Protocol, or SFTP, a protocol, allowing to transfer files over the Internet employing SSH-2 protocol. It is based on the RCP protocol, which employed SSH (Secure Shell) protocol, which did not provide file transfer functionality.
