Backup rotation schedule
Backup rotation schedule is a schedule, which defines how often a backup is performed, how the data is backed up, which media is used and the amount of the media. To be more exact, the backup rotation schedule defines the periodicity of backups, the type of the backup (full or incremental), the media type (tape, CD, DVD, FTP, etc) and the amount of the media, required to complete a rotation. A backup rotation schedule is chosen according to the user's/company's needs for data security and possibilities.
