Backup Hard Drive and Partition Images

Hard disk image backup can't be performed through common file system queries and requires the usage of sector-by-sector drive imaging technology. It is the only way to perform full system backup: back up files that are locked by an operating system and data that is not represented as files, e.g. boot information.

The Disk Image feature in Handy Backup allows you to perform a complete PC backup, clone a hard drive, or copy or back up HDD partition, separately. Unlike other disk imaging software, Handy Backup doesn't require any specific skills and allows computer users of all levels to easily and effectively protect their important data from being lost or corrupted.

• Backup the entire hard drive or any partition. Handy Backup allows creating full image backup of an entire HDD, with all volumes and partition table, or backing up any separate partition. Full disk images can be stored on a single partition regardless of its type (primary, logical, extended, etc.)
• Support for different file system backup. To back up a hard drive, Handy Backup exploits a sector-by-sector method which gives no regard to the file system. This allows you to backup FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3, ReiserFS, Linux SWAP, HPFS and other partitions.
• External and internal hard disk imaging. Handy Backup supports a wide choice of external and internal drives including USB, FireWire, eSata, etc. All you need to do is specify the device as a storage medium for your HDD image backup and the utility will automatically transfer data to it without requiring any specific drivers or installation.
• Imaging sectors with data only. Harddrive images created with Handy Backup don't contain images of sectors that don't correspond to files, folders, or other relevant data. This allows to noticeably reduce the size of created backups.
