Improved Work with Encryption Settings

In version 8.7, the handling of encryption parameters in backup and restore tasks has been updated.

In particular, the processing of encryption type changes in the properties of an existing backup task has been improved. In addition, the handling of Blowfish encryption has been corrected so that it is not incorrectly identified as missing AES variant information.

These changes make working with encrypted backups more stable and easier for users to understand.

Improved Restore Handling

Handy Backup 8.7 improves the handling of file paths during data restoration. The program now processes scenarios more correctly when the path is changed without specifying a file name, making backup restoration more stable.

Updated French Localization

The French interface localization has been updated. In Handy Backup 8.7, translations of program elements have been revised, including function names, service messages, task settings, and selected hints.

Handy Backup supports a multilingual interface and regularly updates its localizations. This helps maintain consistent terminology, correct translation inaccuracies, and make the software more convenient for users from different countries who prefer to work with applications in their native language.

Time Display

Handy Backup 8.7 corrects time display for regions that use daylight saving time. Now the time in the main task settings and in the schedule settings is displayed correctly, even if automatic daylight saving time adjustment is not enabled.
