Installation and Configuration for Debian 12 and 11
Installation of network agents on Debian is available in several formats. Choose the method that best matches your Debian version and preferred installation format:
- Installation from a tar.gz archive, suitable for manual installation and flexible configuration
- Debian 12: installation via DEB packages, suitable for standard installation using the package manager
- Debian 11: installation via DEB packages, suitable for standard installation using the package manager
System Requirements
- Debian 12 or Debian 11;
- x86-64 processor architecture;
Basic Requirements
- To use a Linux workstation (network agent), you need Handy Backup Server Network.
- A centralized control panel for Handy Backup Server Network installed on a machine running Windows. Before configuring network agents, download Handy Backup and install the centralized control panel.
- The server and coordinator computer must allow incoming network connections from the workstation computer.
- The workstation computer must also allow incoming connections from the server computer.
- The machines must be on the same local network.
After installing and connecting the network agent, you can proceed to creating backup and recovery tasks for Linux agents from the centralized control panel.
